PayPal – Pay, Send, Save is an iPhone finance app from PayPal, Inc. that brings shopping, money movement, and account management into one place. The App Store listing and PayPal’s digital wallet page describe it as a way to pay in-store and online, send and request money, and keep track of purchases, deliveries, subscriptions, balances, and settings from a single app. (apps.apple.com; paypal.com)
For shoppers, the app emphasizes Purchase Protection on eligible transactions, along with encrypted payments and account security features such as biometrics and passkeys. PayPal also says users can browse offers, shop with eligible rewards, and follow package status in real time. These features are meant for people who want a wallet-style app for both checkout and after-purchase tracking. (apps.apple.com; paypal.com)
The app also supports PayPal Debit Mastercard activity tied to a PayPal Balance account, and PayPal says the debit card can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. The primary pages say users can choose a monthly rewards category and earn 5% back in rewards points on up to $1,000 of spend per month, with no monthly fees. PayPal also describes tools for savings and goals on its wallet page. (apps.apple.com; paypal.com)
Money transfer is a central use case. PayPal says users can send money within the U.S. and internationally to 110+ countries, and can request money, pool money, and split expenses. The company also says PayPal accounts are required to send and receive money, while a PayPal Balance account is required to hold and use a balance or create a pool. (apps.apple.com; paypal.com)
The app includes buy now, pay later options, but those come with eligibility rules and location limits. PayPal states that Pay in 4 is available upon approval for purchases of $10 to $2,000 and is not available to residents of Missouri, and that some Pay Monthly terms vary by state and merchant. On Apple’s listing, the app is free, rated 4+, and requires iOS 17.4 or later. (apps.apple.com; paypal.com)
