Gyminee was the early name of the fitness service that became Daily Burn. If an old iPhoneApplicationList link brought you here, this guide connects that historical name with the current product and explains why an old workout-tracking description should not be treated as a current feature list.
What was Gyminee?
In a 2010 interview with co-founder Andy Smith, Smith described an early service for recording workouts, sharing plans and finding accountability partners. Food tracking followed as users asked for a more complete record. The interview also discusses the change from the original name to Daily Burn.
A surviving health and fitness resource list links the word “Gyminee” to our old September 2007 URL. That reference identifies the subject of the missing page. This replacement is a newly researched guide, not a recovered copy of the original review.
Daily Burn on iPhone today
The current Daily Burn: Home Workouts listing on Apple’s App Store identifies the developer as Daily Burn, Inc. It describes on-demand workouts, fitness and nutrition coaching, saved favorites and workout tracking. The listing supports iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. The icon shown here belongs to the current app; it is not the old Gyminee artwork.
The app is listed as free to download with in-app purchases. That does not mean its coaching or membership services are free. Check the current subscription terms and device requirements on the App Store before signing up.
