Capital One Shopping: Save Now is a free iPhone app from Wikibuy, LLC that helps shoppers look for lower prices before checkout. According to Capital One Shopping, the tool checks for deals, finds and applies working coupon codes, compares prices across merchants, and notifies users when items drop in price. The service also says it can be added to Safari so savings can follow you onto the web as well. (apps.apple.com; capitaloneshopping.com)
The app is aimed at people who shop online and want a lightweight way to search for coupons, rewards, and competing offers without needing a Capital One bank or credit card account. Apple’s listing describes the app as offering coupons, rewards, and deals, while the company site says it checks thousands of merchants and applies coupon codes at checkout. Capital One Shopping also says rewards can be redeemed for gift cards, and that savings may vary by offer and merchant. (apps.apple.com; capitaloneshopping.com)
On iPhone, getting started requires downloading the app from the App Store, then adding the Safari Shopping extension, allowing access on all sites, creating or logging into an account, and verifying an email address. Apple also notes that users must spend $10 in 21 days to be eligible for the sign-up bonus. The app is rated 4+ and the verified minimum iOS version is 16.6. (apps.apple.com)
In practical terms, this is an online-shopping helper rather than a store checkout app. Its main features are automatic coupon application, price comparison that includes shipping and handling, shopping rewards, and price-drop alerts. The company says its system uses real-time offer updates and applies codes at checkout, but results can vary by retailer and by offer terms. (apps.apple.com; capitaloneshopping.com)
Users should also be aware of limitations. Apple’s listing and the company site both say rewards are subject to terms and conditions, and the App Store notes that the bonus may take time to be issued after requirements are completed. The app’s privacy section indicates that data such as purchase history, search history, browsing history, and identifiers may be used for tracking or linked purposes, so shoppers who want the service should review the privacy details before installing.
