Choose an on-device model when privacy matters. After the model is downloaded, supported local transcription works offline and your audio stays on your Mac. When speed or a specialized model matters more, choose an optional cloud provider.

TRANSCRIBE YOUR WAY
• Drag and drop audio or video files, including MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, OGG, and OPUS.
• Record a voice memo, an individual app, all system audio, and—when you choose—your microphone.
• Create transcripts from YouTube and direct media links.
• Batch-process multiple files, or build a podcast transcript from separate speaker tracks.
• Follow speech as it happens with live captions from your microphone, app audio, or system audio.
• Choose from local and cloud speech-recognition models, automatic language detection, and support for 100+ languages. Availability varies by model.

PRIVACY YOU CONTROL
Local transcription and supported speaker identification happen on your device. Audio or transcript text is sent off-device only when you choose a cloud transcription, translation, or AI service; that provider’s terms and privacy policy then apply.

MacWhisper is free to download. Optional Pro purchases unlock advanced Mac models and workflows. MacWhisper Assistant is an optional subscription for hosted cloud transcription and AI features; you can also use supported services with your own API keys. Features vary by device, model, provider, and purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.
