Amazon Kindle: Reading App brings a Kindle library to iPhone and iPad. Apple app ID 302584613 lists AMZN Mobile LLC as developer. Its description includes adjustable text and layout, highlights, notes, word lookup and synchronization of reading position across devices. You do not need to treat the phone screen as a miniature printed page to make it useful.
Adjust one page before starting a chapter
Choose a familiar paragraph and change the text size, margins and background until you can read it comfortably at your usual distance. Then leave the settings alone for a few pages. Constantly adjusting the appearance can become its own distraction. If you alternate between a phone and a larger device, find an acceptable layout for each rather than trying to make them look identical.
Use highlights and the notebook for passages you intend to revisit. After a chapter, keep the few notes that still matter rather than marking every striking sentence without context.
Check the book and account, not just the app
Amazon distinguishes books you buy from titles available through membership programs. Confirm the account you are using and the particular edition you want. Reading and audiobook access may involve different entitlements; a matching title does not prove both are included. Before travelling, open the intended book and verify that the reading access you need is ready on that device.
