Quickword was Quickoffice, Inc.’s Word-document app, linked by Apple ID 313258628. The October 2, 2009 listing described editing documents, opening email attachments and moving files without requiring a desktop-client installation for the advertised workflow.
A narrower focus than the full office suite
The historical feature list combined Word editing with Wi-Fi transfer, MobileMe iDisk access, email sending and a device-as-drive option. Unlike the separate Quickoffice suite entry, this description did not advertise an Excel editor. Keeping that distinction avoids assigning another product’s features to Quickword.
The practical workflow crossed several boundaries: an attachment could become an editable document, and the result needed a route back to another device or recipient. The archive does not explain every supported file format or prove that complex formatting survived those transfers.
The old URL includes a sale reference, but no historical promotion is presented as current. Likewise, the named cloud and transfer services describe the saved edition rather than guaranteed connections today.
Current availability is unverified. No attachment, wireless transfer or document round-trip was tested for this new article. The app’s original publisher and numeric identity are retained for readers following the legacy link.
