ActiveNotes: the Morbius Labs note editor for early iPhone

The original ActiveNotes listing identified a Morbius Labs app for writing and editing notes on iPhone and iPod touch.

ActiveNotes was a Morbius Labs application for iPhone and iPod touch. The January 20, 2009 archive entry linked to morbiuslabs.com and explicitly described writing and editing notes.

Capture a thought, then revise it

The editing part is the useful distinction. A note can start as a few words entered quickly, then become clearer when the writer returns to it. For example, a meeting reminder may later acquire an agenda or a decision. That is an ordinary note-taking workflow, not a claim that ActiveNotes supplied meeting templates or collaboration tools.

The original description ends with a broad suggestion that the app did more, but does not explain those additional capabilities. It provides no verified list of folders, rich-text controls, synchronization, encryption or exports. This profile keeps the documented functions separate from that promotional opening.

Current availability and compatibility of the Morbius Labs edition remain unverified. No old notes were imported or edited. The developer reference distinguishes this product from unrelated apps that might also use the name ActiveNotes.
