Bank of America Mobile: the 2007 iPhone banking-web entry

The original listing sent iPhone and iPod touch users to Bank of America’s mobile banking website.

The archive of this August 10, 2007 Bank of America Mobile URL points to bankofamerica.com/mobile/. The surviving description, captured later, mentions mobile banking on iPhone and iPod touch. This was a website entry, not evidence for the feature set of a later App Store release.

An account service in a mobile browser

The historical interest is the destination itself: an established account service supplied a mobile route for customers using the new handset. The directory entry did not explain authentication, eligible account types or the particular transactions available through that version.

Consequently, this article does not assign today’s deposit, transfer or payment features to the 2007 interface. A banking brand can remain the same while its interfaces and service terms change substantially.

This page is an archive profile and does not offer account access or financial advice. For a current service, start from the bank’s own official website or independently verified app listing. Operation of the old mobile endpoint has not been established, and no account sign-in or transaction was attempted for this article.
