Use alerts as a starting point
CNN’s app listing describes articles, video, live updates and notification choices. An alert is a short prompt to read further, not the complete account of an event. Open the article, check its timestamp and distinguish what has been confirmed from what the report says is still developing.
Follow the update trail
For a story that changes throughout the day, note whether you are reading an original report, a running update page or an analysis piece. A screenshot of an earlier headline can become misleading after a correction or new information. When sharing, use the article link and describe the part you mean rather than treating a notification as a permanent statement.
Choose attention deliberately
Decide which topics justify interrupting your day and which you prefer to read in a scheduled session. The app also presents streaming products; the offer and regional access shown in your account determine what is included. This overview is about organizing a news-reading workflow, not an endorsement of every article or a promise of universal live access. For consequential claims, inspect the underlying source material when the report makes it available.
