Angry Birds Star Wars brought Rovio’s birds into Lucasfilm’s galaxy in November 2012. This historical iPhone link refers to the original game, associated with App Store ID 557137623. It should not be confused with Angry Birds Star Wars II or a current Angry Birds release.
Familiar characters, a different kind of puzzle
Lucasfilm’s own retrospective records the game’s November 8 release and highlights the character combinations: the red bird as Luke Skywalker, pigs as stormtroopers and Darth Vader. The attraction was immediately readable. Someone who recognised Star Wars could understand the joke before learning a new control scheme.
Rovio’s official gameplay trailer, published just before launch, is a useful record of the original mobile presentation. Watch how the character theme changes the moment-to-moment action rather than judging the game from promotional artwork alone. The trailer is included below as historical material, not evidence that the original app can still be installed.
What an old App Store link tells you
An identifier establishes which release a link described; it does not establish present device support. Our September 2026 checks did not return this exact item in the US or UK lookup results. That limited check cannot describe every storefront or every previous purchaser’s library.
If you are revisiting a purchase, first check the account and device that originally owned it. Keep this page as a guide to the original crossover, and compare the developer and exact title before treating any similarly named download as the same game.
