Before a travel recommendation became an endless stream of pins, Havana Good Time offered something more personal: a guide to one city written by someone who lived there. Our original “Ever Thought About Going to Cuba?” review, by Sungtae Park, covered Conner Gorry’s iPhone guide, published by Sutro Media.
A city guide with an author behind it
The archived review identifies Gorry as the writer and describes entries covering restaurants, museums, hotels, bars and other places to visit. The appeal was the connection between practical information and local experience. A restaurant entry had a person behind the recommendation, rather than simply a position in a popularity list.
That is still a useful way to judge any travel app. A long directory tells you what exists; an authored guide can explain why a place might suit your particular afternoon. The most useful recommendations help you choose, not just scroll.
What the historical app offered
The original listing records Sutro Media as the seller and the App Store identifier 385663683. It described a mix of venue information, local advice and photographs. In her own December 2010 announcement, Gorry said Havana Good Time included more than 300 images and worked on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
The recovered opening screen makes the authorship unusually clear: “Havana Good Time,” “by Conner Gorry,” and “Sutro Media” appear together. It is a small but telling detail of an era when a city guide could feel like a compact digital book.

Apple’s US lookup for the original app ID returned no listing when checked on October 21, 2026. That does not establish availability in every country, and this page does not offer a download or claim compatibility with current iPhones.
