Elevator Words: a multilingual letter-alignment game

The original web puzzle at kprobe.com challenged iPhone players to align letters into words.

Elevator Words was an iPhone word game at kprobe.com/kprobe/iPhone/vw.php. The September 22, 2007 listing described aligning letters to form words and advertised support for a dozen languages.

Position changes the possible word

The title and short description put arrangement at the center of the activity. The player is not merely recalling a word; the visible letters have to be brought into a useful relationship. That gives the puzzle a spatial element alongside vocabulary.

Multilingual support is a significant part of the original pitch, but the archive does not name the supported languages or explain the accepted-word dictionaries. A word that seems valid to a player still depends on the particular game’s rules and vocabulary data. Those implementation details cannot be reconstructed from the language count alone.

The source also leaves scoring, time limits and movement controls unspecified. Current playability has not been tested. This historical profile preserves the letter-alignment premise and exact web destination without inventing a rulebook or presenting a modern word game as the same product.
