The September 18, 2007 Yahoo! Mobile entry linked to us.m.yahoo.com. Its service list ranged from Mail, Messenger and oneSearch to news, weather, sports, finance, movies, games, Flickr, calendar, address book and directions.
One starting point, several tasks
This was a portal approach to the mobile web. A person could begin at a single familiar destination and choose the next service instead of remembering a separate address for every activity. The breadth of the original list is the feature: communications and information appeared alongside one another.
The listing does not show whether each item opened an equally optimized interface, which required a Yahoo account or how much functionality carried over from desktop. A directory of links and a fully integrated application are not automatically the same experience.
Service names in this historical list should not be read as a catalogue of what Yahoo offers today. Operation of the old portal has not been verified. This recovered profile documents the original mobile destination without claiming current access to every service named in 2007.
