Rocklighter was a browser-based novelty from the iPhone’s early months: a concert-lighter image for the screen. Its value was a single visual joke rather than a complicated productivity workflow.
Following the original web address
Contemporary 2007 coverage identifies the Rocklighter name and original domain. A preserved Rocklighter page sends visitors to a “Rock Me” page at prod4ever.com. The archived destination contains an image named rocklighter3.gif, sized to fill the page, and a credits link.
That surviving structure is refreshingly small. The page’s central object was the image itself, not an account, a feed, or a catalogue. It is a useful example of how an early phone web page could turn one familiar idea into an experience that made sense immediately on a handheld screen.

This restored August 20, 2007 article documents the historical web project. The archived page shell survives, but the linked GIF was not retrievable during the restoration. We therefore cannot confirm playback from that capture or offer it as a working modern demo.
The artwork above is a new editorial illustration of the concept. It is not a screenshot of the recovered page or a claim that the original service has relaunched. Likewise, similarly named lighter apps in today’s stores should not be assumed to share its developer or history.
