Facebook’s early iPhone website: the 2007 mobile entry

This original Facebook link led to iphone.facebook.com/login.php, a browser experience from the first iPhone era.

The archive of this August 16, 2007 Facebook URL points to iphone.facebook.com/login.php. Its later preserved description mentions viewing Facebook on iPhone and iPod touch. The address identifies a browser login destination associated with the early phone experience.

A social service follows its users

The historical change was access away from a desktop computer. A familiar account-based service could become something a person checked between other activities, with a page arranged for the handset. The short listing does not document which parts of Facebook were exposed through that interface.

It would therefore be inaccurate to attach a modern Facebook feature list to this page. The record does not establish video tools, specific messaging capabilities, notifications or native-app behavior in the 2007 edition.

The old login endpoint has not been tested, and this page does not collect account information. It is a newly written historical profile of the original mobile-web link. Present-day account access belongs on Facebook’s current official service, rather than an archive capture or a reconstructed login page.
