TIME Magazine on iPhone: decide how you want to read an issue

What to check before subscribing to TIME’s magazine app, from the reading format to your existing account.

TIME Magazine’s dedicated app offers a magazine-centered route into the publication’s reporting and photography. The Apple listing for app ID 369021520 names TIME as developer and TIME USA LLC as seller. Its description offers monthly and annual subscriptions. That product identity matters when comparing an app purchase with access you may already receive elsewhere.

Try the reading format before choosing a plan

A magazine issue and a continuously updated website encourage different reading habits. Think about whether you want to work through an issue, dip into a few articles or follow breaking developments. Preview the material the app makes available and inspect how photographs, captions and longer pages appear at the text size you normally use.

Inspect an opening article and a photo-heavy page at your preferred text size. That reveals whether the issue format suits your commute or reading chair more directly than the number of articles in a subscription.

Compare access, not just the opening offer

Before paying, check the live App Store offer and your TIME account or subscription information. Confirm which product you are buying, what happens at renewal and whether your existing arrangement already includes it. An old app description may retain promotional wording or an issue schedule that is no longer a reliable guide to today’s subscription. Use the actual purchase terms for that decision.
