An old listing is a historical reference
Apple’s lookup associates this app ID with Find My Friends and an older release record. The name describes a familiar goal: sharing a location with people you choose. For present-day setup, Apple’s current Find My documentation is the more appropriate reference than instructions copied from an early App Store description.
Make the agreement explicit
Before sharing an ongoing location, agree who will receive it and why. Meeting somebody at a station, coordinating a trip and sharing routinely with family are different situations. A location on a map should not replace a message confirming an actual arrangement.
Review the setup when the plan changes
Check which device supplies the location and revisit sharing choices after a trip, device change or change in the relationship. Apple’s support hub explains current people and location-sharing features. Use the instructions that apply to your software and region. This overview does not present the older Find My Friends download as a required installation, and it does not promise that a map is always current or precise. Its purpose is to connect the historical app link with the right current documentation.
