It’s never too early to get excited about Mardi Gras, and with Fat Tuesday right around the corner (February 16th to be exact), what better way to get in the Mardi Gras mood than with a fun app. Though Mardi Gras apps are already in existence, the first ever Mardi Gras game for the iPhone has just been released, and is conveniently titled Mardi Gras!. The game, a product of Impiger Technologies, enables the players to toss festive Mardi Gras souvenirs (e.g. coins, bead necklaces, rings, and footballs) at the partying crowd who is enjoying a Mardi Gras parade. The goal is to toss the items to targets by flicking your finger into the crowd; when you successfully throw to a target, you gain points and the crowd goes wild. Extra points are rewarded if you comply with peoples requests. However, this is all easier said than done and takes a lot of finger-eye coordination; oftentimes, when the target is missed, the crowd gets angry and points are deducted.

I would like to bring your attention to the Daytrotter app which is instantly got into the top 10 of my all time iPhone favorites.
This free app gives you access to the www.daytrotter.com’s large, daily updated database of the absolutely unique tracks recorded live by various musicians during two hour sessions at The Horseshack in downtown Rock Island, Ill.
“We’re giving you exclusive, re-worked, alternate versions of old songs and unreleased tracks by some of your favorite bands and by a lot of your next favorite bands.” said in the description on Daytrotter site
Application design is stylish and funky (love the colorful drawings of the bands), track loading is almost instant. In addition to “New sessions” and “Most played” sections it has “daytrotter radio”. I found a lot of interesting bands, some songs of which I actually looked up on iTunes and purchased after listening to these bands in Daytrotter app. I would recommend to developers to make this search right from the app and earn some money on iTunes affiliate program.

Version 2.0 of Sky Racer just hit the AppStore. If you are 3D flight simulator lover – definitely check it out. New version has more stunt routes and amazing visuals: stunning lakes, rivers and mountains.
The game is extremely realistic and well done which is a surprise at $0.99 price tag.
Flight physics is very impressive — you can do take-offs, landings, stunt tasks or take a free flight on 5 different planes and flight properties will be very different between the planes realistically simulating actual plane behavior.
