In Da Hood? |

Not many people know their neighbors these days. After all, why go out and try to meet people when there are plenty of things to do inside? In our age of technology, TV shows, internet, cellphones, and video games often replace our need to socialize outside our little worlds. Once in a while, however, we wonder. “Wouldn’t it be nice if I knew more people in my neighborhood?” “I wonder what they are up to?” “Is there anything interesting going in the neighborhood? And then we convince ourselves about how awkward it might be, if we tried going out, knocked on our neighbors’ doors and said, “Hey, we live next to each other. Let’s be friends!” Or how complicated it would be to try to find out what’s going on in the neighborhood. Read the rest of this entry » |

![]() |
A unique new app just showed up in AppStore. This idea seems on the surface, but nobody implemented it until now. Your phone has quality speaker and microphone, why would you buy a PC headset if you have your phone already; and phone can be used as wireless headset since it has a WiFi connectivity, isn’t it cool? Get the Headset app from AppStore, download and install Headset desktop part run both and voila you can use your phone as wireless headset with Skype, gTalk, MSN, Yahoo and many other PC applications. Update: We’ve just got update from the developers about their Valentine promo. You may win iPod Touch for your Valentine if you send them a screenshot with any 4 icons of their apps. |

Google Voice comes to iPhone!!!Posted in Social Networking, Utilities on 26 Jan 2010

There have been a lot of press all last year about Apple/Google battle over Google Voice app. I even wrote a blog post on how to use Google Voice through web-service. But a lot of things wasn’t working right through web service. For example, making calls was a two-step process and the outbound caller ID feature didn’t work, meaning that whoever received the call couldn’t see who was calling, which is one of the most compelling features of Google Voice.
Google just launched a new Google Voice web-service specifically built for iPhone users. Just point your iPhone browser to http://m.google.com/voice and you will see a nicely designed interface which looks and behaves like native app and overcomes previously existing limitations. You can also save it as an icon on your Main Menu so launching Google Voice will be one-step process. It works very well for me, it is free, definitely worth trying!
