With 2011 just two days away, it’s time to start thinking about what you want the new year to bring and making those resolutions (if you haven’t already). All My New Year Resolutions 2011 is an app that can not only help you keep track of your goals for the coming year, but can also enable you to record and share your progress in the process. The app allows you to add as many resolutions as you wish to make, create events and comments for each resolution (i.e. to keep you on track, focused, and motivated), set dates and reminders in your calendar to ensure you’re on the right course, and share your endeavors (and successes) with friends and family over Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, text messages, and more. An added bonus: the app includes cute emoticons that you can add each time you update your resolution-in-progress, showing exactly how you feel about your moment-to-moment accomplishments. With all these awesome features, All My New Year Resolutions 2011 promises that the new year will not only bring a new you, but more importantly a whole lot of support along the way.

2010 has certainly been the year of social networking. However, most apps hinge on getting word out to everyone at once, updating and informing as many people as possible. So what happens if you’d rather be a little more selective in your notifications, or if you want to receive the benefits of many social networking platforms, but without the platform aspect? Well, Neer is here to help those who are enamored with the concept but not the breadth of what social networking has traditionally done. Neer enables people to share their locations, but only with whom they wish and when they wish. You can define various groups to notify, elect favorite places to share with others, and ensure your family, friends, coworkers, etc. are in the know when you want them to be, and without having to blast your personal placement to the greater public. The app eliminates the need to text or call multiple people at once with your whereabouts, and in a smart and fun manner ensures that those who need to be informed will. While Neer was mainly created with the modern family in mind, it is an app that any type of person or group could benefit from, and is a simple solution to staying up-to-date and locating the people that really matter.

If you grew up in the 90s, then you certainly experienced the playground phenomenon that was pogs. Well, while our little wooden and plastic friends may have become obsolete, their memory lives on, and the game continues to leave a legacy — especially now that iPogs! has been released for the iPhone. While it certainly does have a different feel than the original game, iPogs! ensures all the same entertainment as you battle your way through the virtual world of Poglandia, helping Cal to defeat bullies, collect rare pogs, and slam his way to victory. With tons of new slammers and techniques, the game will never get old (then again, how could it?), and while the interface is as easy to learn as the original, it always guarantees a challenge. What’s more is the game includes Facebook and OpenFeint integration so you can continue to share the wonder of pogs with friends and engage in friendly competition. So whether you’re re-living the days of your youth or getting acquainted with a classic game, iPogs! is worth slamming into, and is bound to give you the fun, entertainment, challenge, and 90s nostalgia you seek.

Just like Thanksgiving Turkeynizer, Elf Ur Face is a fun, holiday-themed app that lets you spread some good cheer (and humor) to your friends and family. All you have to do is select a picture to use (either one you take with your camera or upload from your library), embellish it with elf stickers and decorations, add greetings, save it to your photo library, and share it on Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail. It’s the perfect app to help you stay connected and send warm thoughts to loved ones from near and far, or to simply make a fool out of yourself in the spirit of the season. Elf Ur Face promises lots of laughter, ample creativity, and of course, hoards of holiday spirit to spread all around.

Note: Elf Ur Face comes in a free, ad-based version, or in a $0.99 version that has no ads and comes with 10 stickers not available in the free app.
