Organizing your thoughts on paper or on a whiteboard is pretty helpful when you’re working on a project or developing new ideas.  But once in awhile you’ll run out of board space or have to use another sheet of paper.  Problems like these may not seem like a big deal until you’re actually dealing with them; writing space is something we take for granted.  With Popplet, these problems are a thing of the past.  Popplet allows you to collect all of your ideas, thoughts, and pictures into one continuous workspace where you can organize them in whatever way you like. Reading large files on the iPhone is a struggle.  GoodReader is a file reading app designed to make viewing such files easier.  Using its own file reading engine in addition to the default engine programmed into the iPhone, it gives users the ability to open large PDF and text files, high resolution photos, audio and video files, and other types of data-heavy files.  This app also allows for file transfers between your iPhone and your computer or the internet if you’re connected to a network.  Once you have your documents uploaded, you can choose from a long list of functions including, but not limited to, zipping your files, emailing a document, and marking a document as unread. Yesterday Opera publicly announced they submitted their web browser Opera Mini for approval to the App Store.

Opera has some features that Safari is missing: the ability to search for text on pages, to browse multiple pages at once and even save pages previously loaded. It is super fast, claiming to be 5 times faster than Safari, but will it be ever approved?

Check out Countup on Opera website showing time since Opera Mini 5 was submitted to Apple.

iPad applications or what we expect from iPad apps

First of all congratulations everybody that the wait and hype is finally over. All of us at iPhoneApplicationList.com are very excited about the new device. We see a lot of opinions in the press that it looks like “overgrown giant iPhone” or that there are no new features on the iPad compared to iPhone.

I do not think so! The tremendous difference  is exactly in the screen size, content (movies, newspapers, books) made for big screen and WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT — APPS for big screen! Developers, just think about the opportunity of developing and using new innovative interfaces with huge multi-touch OLED beauty! This is a new platform even if it looks same as iPhone and huge challenge to get your applications right and discover all the new use cases of the device.

Do not get mislead. We are going to see a success of iPad.
