Cyclos on iPhone: connect to the right organization first

Cyclos is a client for an organization’s enabled banking or payment service, not a standalone account you open by installing an app.

Cyclos is a mobile client for organizations using Cyclos software with mobile access enabled. Apple app ID 829007510 lists Cyclos as developer and Stichting STRO as seller. The description includes payments, balances, transaction history, contacts and marketplace functions. Which of those functions you can use depends on the service your organization provides.

Confirm the service address before signing in

The listing explains that first setup asks for the organization’s URL, followed by the user’s credentials. Obtain that address through the organization’s established channel. Do not treat a similar-looking name or a link in an unexpected message as enough to identify the service. An app can be genuine while the address entered into it is still the wrong destination.

Confirm which organization and account the app displays before using its services. Keep any demonstration account separate from real activity; a working demo does not grant access to a live account.

Review the confirmation as carefully as the form

For an actual payment, follow the organization’s instructions and inspect the recipient, amount and any displayed conditions before confirming. Afterwards, check the transaction record rather than assuming that leaving the payment screen proves completion. These are interface-review habits, not advice on whether a financial service, transaction or balance is suitable or protected. The organization’s current terms and support information answer those questions.
