Think you have what it takes to be the next singing sensation? No need to get yourself onto one of those over-hyped singing shows, your chance at the spotlight — and $1,000 — is here. Until May 15, you have the chance to put your sound on center stage with the Vocoo National Karaoke Week Challenge. All you have to do is enter, using the free Vocoo Music Player app to record your vocals in one of eight designated contest songs and send them off to the judging table.
The magic of Vocoo is that you can sing along with songs, but the technology behind the app isolates your vocals from the rest of the song, enabling you not only to adjust things like volume and sound quality, but also replace the vocals in the song with your own while ensuring the sound and song quality stay intact. Once you’ve created your masterpiece renditions, you can save, share, and even send it off to the competition, which again could launch you into eternal fame (or at least earn you some awesome prizes, from iTunes gift cards to the Grand Prize of $1,000).
