As I have previously mentioned, I really enjoy apps that help people to be better organized. I myself am pretty challenged when it comes to organization and use any help that I get. 2Do Lite and Errands are two apps that are meant to help people like me keep better track of tasks, projects and of all things that need to get done. However, both apps that happen to also be free, attempt to achieve this in different ways. 2Do Lite and Errands are effective but it really is a matter of taste in terms of which one is better than the other. I prefer Errands and I will outline why that is as I compare both apps.

2Do Lite and Errands have some of the same tabs for instance, the + button is used to add a project or task to your calendar, there are two different sections for work and home and they both have options that allow to add priority to certain tasks. I have to say though, overall I prefer Errands. 2Do Lite has an interface that I don’t really find appealing. Its a pretend date book, however, it is a little distracting and is not easy to use. Errands I like because the interface is simple and you can flip from work, home, errands, all tasks, focus and inbox very easily. Your tasks will appear in list format and it shows you which ones you completed today. Also, you have the option of naming your task according to a title you assign with added notes and you can choose to show the title and the notes when it is displayed so that you know exactly what that task will require. 2Do lite calls every task a To Do and you must press on the tab in order to view the notes associated with that To Do, I find this significantly takes away from the efficiency of the app and makes Errands seem like a better option. Overall, they’re both free so I would definitely recommend trying them both out in order to discover which interface suits you best, however, I would definitely recommend Errands. It just seems to make more sense and I can see it being a lot more useful when it comes to showing you exactly what it is you need to do without creating a lot of fuss or pushing of buttons.
