Everyone knows the (fairly) old addage “time is money” and as we get better and better at managing our money, we’re growing more attached to this idea. But these days money moves so fast and the economy changes so quickly, we cannot keep up. The stock of a company might take years to build up, and could plummet 25% in the time it takes to get coffee. To protect investments and make sure that we don’t lose something that has taken years to build up, people need to have immediate and direct access to information regarding the stock market. Of course there’s an app for that (a free app at that!).
The Bloomberg app for the iPhone includes the latest news about the markets, equity indices, lists of currency values, and other useful information regarding the stock market so you can always keep up with your investments from where ever you are (as long as you have a wi-fi connection). This app also includes a function to search for stocks, as well as a function that allows you you keep track of your investments on a list of stocks and changes in their value.
In the app store there are generally good reviews for this app and it’s rated 4 stars. However, there are a few criticisms, such as issues with searching by name rather than stock symbol and slowed response due to graphics. These problems can be annoying, but in most cases the problems were minor and avoidable. I think this app has what you need for your investment needs.
