Organizing your thoughts on paper or on a whiteboard is pretty helpful when you’re working on a project or developing new ideas. But once in awhile you’ll run out of board space or have to use another sheet of paper. Problems like these may not seem like a big deal until you’re actually dealing with them; writing space is something we take for granted. With Popplet, these problems are a thing of the past. Popplet allows you to collect all of your ideas, thoughts, and pictures into one continuous workspace where you can organize them in whatever way you like.
Popplet gives near a near infinite amount of space for you to organize yourself. It allows users to create and move objects freely with an intuitive interface. You can link your objects, your ideas, with one another in a way that suits you. This makes it a great multipurpose tool: a graphic organizer, a photo album, a piece of art, or whatever you want it to be.
Starting with a popplet, or workspace, you can add thoughts and ideas by double tapping on the screen to create a bubble. You can type some text into the bubble, upload a picture, or create your own image with the drawing utility. Once you’ve created your bubbles, you can link them together to connect thoughts or images to create a web of ideas.
Popplet is limited only in the amount of colors available for object and background customization. I was also disappointed that I couldn’t change the title of my popplets once I had made them. However, these problems are minor issues that can be worked out in future versions. Overall, it’s a great app; it’s easy to use, has plenty of workspace, and can be used anywhere ranging from your home to your office. At $4.99, this practical and versatile iPad app is definitely a worthwhile purchase.
