Would you please explain for those of us who are not developers, what an API is and why it's not allowed?

Seems like Apple is getting a little too stingy for the price that they put on their products. We should be able to use what we purchase as we please as long as it's not illegal.

This app was removed from the app store because it used undocumented APIs. Apple will not let the author repost this application. It will not be back on the app store and should be removed from this list.

This is the ONLY good wi-finder app that I have found and it actually WORKS. Problem is...after the 3.0 update from Apple, it no longer works. Just closes down after the program opens.

I would PAY for this app if the developer would get it to work with 3.0...it would be worth the money. None of the other apps that are supposed to find wi-fi's work as well as this one. I could drive thru town and find tons of networks, but none of the others are picking them up.

PLEASE update this application!

This was one of my handiest programs but it stopped working once I upgraded to 3.0 on my iPod Touch. Wish it would be upgraded so I could use it again.

Whoops, turns out that WifiTrak is not free, after all. Odd, I thought I had it gotten for free. But then, what's one dollar. I still hold my recommendation up: WifiTrak is preferrable over WiFinder for its better options, e.g.:
1. you can choose at which signal strength of an open network you want to be notified
2. you can choose a custom sound for notification
3. It has a auto-connect with the following options: simply connect the wlan, connect and exit WifiTrak, or launch either Safari, Mail or a URL.
