Google Reader iPhone Skin uses the Greasemonkey concept of modifying the look and feel of a web application through dynamically loaded JavaScript. By deconstructing the DOM and obfuscated .js file, I modified the page elements while preserving Reader's basic functionlity. For the iPhone, I'm hoping that JavaScript bookmarks will work as they do on the desktop browser.

Doesn’t work. IF it does, then better instructions are needed. IF the application doesn’t work on the iPhone it should be removed from the LIST. A website that looks like the iPhone interface but doesn’t work on the device itself is not an iPhone application.

It does in fact work, just not very well.

What you have to do is as follows

1. Add bookmarks for both google reader and the bookmarklet provided.

2. Login to google reader on the iphone

3. click the bookmarklet he provided (it will be in the Bookmarks Bar Folder if you dragged it to the toolbar)

After about 10 seconds the website changes, it doesn’t work very well though.
